St John First Responder is a full version iPhone app developed by St John Ambulance Western Australia Ltd, designed to help individuals be emergency and first aid ready. This app has all the tools needed to help oneself and others in need. The app's main feature is the ability for qualified first aiders to register as a First Responder and be notified of nearby emergencies until the ambulance arrives.
The app includes a range of first aid guides for different needs, including illustrations with easy-to-follow steps and a CPR timer. The First Responder feature allows users to register within a 500-meter incident alert radius and support their community. The app also has an emergency call support feature, including automatic location detection and access to First Aid guides. Additionally, users can find nearby defibrillators (AEDs) in an emergency, upload defibs to the network, and register with the Community First Responder network.
Users can also find their nearest Emergency Department, get live waiting times, and contact information and directions. The app also provides information on St John Urgent Care and General Practices, including directions, contact information, and opening times. Lastly, the app offers the ability to book patient transfers that suit all needs and book community transport between medical and dental appointments and community venues.
